Aster (Erich) N. Pitcher, Ph.D. is a founding web weaver at Weaving Our Web Consulting. They are a white settler, disabled, queer, and trans leader with more than 15 years experience in nonprofit and higher education settings. Aster supports organizations–large and small–in the following areas: supporting alignment with values via strategic planning and culture building, conducting equity-informed mediation; supporting organizational learning; and conducting equity-focused assessments and evaluations.
With formal training in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education and informal training in race equity work and equity-informed mediation, Aster brings frameworks including transformative learning theory, popular education, participatory decision-making, liberation praxis, and somatic practices to their consultancy practice.
With experience in LGBTQIA2S+ issues, racial justice, foster care, food justice, education, research, assessment, evaluation, and organizational development, Dr. Pitcher brings a wealth of expertise and a transformative heart to facilitation, thought partnership, planning, and mediation. They approach each collaboration with an ethic of care, always striving toward collective liberation.
